Lead engineering for o1js and developer infrastructure. Responsible for technical direction, roadmap, delivery, hiring, cross-functional product work, and hands-on engineering.

  • Owned end-to-end delivery of the MESA hardfork: authored protocol changes, coordinated protocol, SDK, and infrastructure teams, and shipped a 4x state-size expansion for DeFi and gaming zkApps.
  • Scaled o1js from 4K to 15K monthly npm downloads with about 600 GitHub stars while leading a team of four engineers.
  • Shipped o1js v2 as a coordinated migration across protocol, cryptography, and SDK layers, with ecosystem-wide release planning.
  • Shipped the native prover path for Node so circuits can prove faster without changing authoring APIs.
  • Built the engineering growth pipeline: technical interviews, leveling rubrics, and mentorship toward broader ownership.
  • Employee-elected board director at o1Labs, representing engineering and product priorities at the governance level.

Built core parts of o1js across TypeScript, Rust, and WebAssembly. Co-architected the SDK from its early stages through v1.0, including the zkDSL, Mina integration layer, and API patterns that still shape the developer experience.

  • Replaced a custom circuit language with a TypeScript-native authoring system, lowering the barrier to ZK development for TypeScript teams.
  • Delivered low-level proving-pipeline optimizations that improved time-to-first-proof by up to 20% in internal benchmarks.
